Job Details:
- Location: Staples, ON
- Salary: $18.00 to $22.00 hourly (to be negotiated) / 40 to 60 hours per week
- Type of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
- Hours of Work: Day, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning

Qualifications Needed:
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a supervisory role within agriculture
Work Setting:
- On-site work; there is no option to work remotely.
- Environment includes fruit and vegetable combination farming, which can be hot and noisy.
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate on vertical farming systems
- Clean greenhouses and maintain farm equipment
- Level earth to fine grade specifications
- Manually remove suckers and water sprouts
- Tie and secure plants
- Coordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting laborers
- Ensure compliance with farm safety and bio-security procedures
- Maintain quality control and production records
- Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations
- Maintain work records and logs
- Hire and train staff
- Perform general farm duties, including cutting horticultural crops
Supervision:
- Responsible for supervising more than 20 people.
Experience and Specialization:
- Experience with crops, particularly cucumbers
- Specialization in agricultural crop services
Work Conditions:
- Fast-paced environment requiring the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Physically demanding role with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- Overtime may be required
