Requirements:
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- Experience: Experience in farming is an asset
Work Conditions:
- Work must be completed on-site; there is no option to work remotely.
- Environment includes corn farming, fruit and vegetable farming, and other miscellaneous crop farming
- Conditions may be hot, noisy, dusty, and dirty, with exposure to all weather
Responsibilities:
- Apply fertilizers and clear debris from fields
- Cut agricultural crops and divide harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots
- Monitor and adjust water saturation, light, and temperature for crop growth
- Grade vegetables and fruits based on size, shape, color, and volume
- Perform greenhouse cleaning and hand harvest vegetables
- Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, as well as weed and clean work areas
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- Detect health problems in crops and examine products for quality
Equipment and Machinery Experience:
- Farm truck, tractor, skid steer, and hand tools
Physical Capabilities:
- Ability to handle heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks
- Requires standing, bending, crouching, and kneeling for extended periods
Personal Suitability:
- Flexible, organized, reliable, and a team player
- Quick learner with strong attention to detail
