Job Details:

- Salary: $27.00 per hour
- Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
- Hours of Work: 40 hours per week (Day, Overtime)

Qualifications Required:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 3 to 5 years in welding or related field
- Languages: English
Responsibilities:
- Interpret welding process specifications
- Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes
- Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications
- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
- Use Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for planning
- Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines
- Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal
- Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment
- Determine the weldability of materials
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
- Fabricate or repair metal parts and products with previously set-up welding machines
- Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment
- Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems
Experience and Specialization:
- Familiarity with various materials, including aluminum alloys, stainless steel, and heavy metals
- Proficient in welding techniques such as:
- Oxy-acetylene welding (OAW)
- Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW)
- Gas metal arc welding (GMAW)
- Experience in custom fabrication, truck repair, machinery or equipment repair, structural construction, and factory assembly
Additional Information:
- Security and Safety: Bondable, basic security clearance, criminal record check, and drug test required
- Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation and valid driver’s licence necessary
- Work Conditions:
- Fast-paced environment with physical demands
- Requires handling heavy loads (up to 23 kg or 50 lbs)
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, organization, teamwork, and attention to detail
