Job Details:

  • Salary: $19.23 to $24.73 hourly (To be negotiated) / 35 hours per week

Qualifications Required:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Experience is an asset
  • Languages: Bilingual

Work Setting:

Responsibilities of the Job:

  • Interview clients to obtain employment history, educational background, and career goals
  • Prepare case histories and assess problems
  • Refer clients to appropriate external services
  • Identify barriers to employment and assist clients with job readiness skills, job search strategies, résumé writing, and interview preparation
  • Perform administrative tasks
  • Advise employers on human resource and other employment-related issues
  • Administer and interpret tests to determine clients’ interests, aptitudes, and abilities
  • Collect labour market information regarding job openings, entry and skill requirements, and other occupational information
  • Provide established workers with information and strategies for dealing with job dissatisfaction, making mid-career changes, and adjusting to workplace transitions
  • Liaise with community agencies or partners, identify additional or alternative services, and provide referrals

  • Computer and Technology Knowledge:
    • MS Outlook
    • Database software

Additional Information:

  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check required
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Own vehicle and valid driver’s license required
