Qualifications Required:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
  • Certificates:
    • Emergency child care first aid and CPR
    • Provincial or Territorial Teaching Certificate

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in staff meetings
  • Supervise teaching assistants and train student teachers
  • Assign and correct homework
  • Identify individual learning needs
  • Lead activities promoting physical, mental, and social development
  • Prepare subject material according to approved curriculum
  • Administer and correct tests
