Qualifications Required:
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
- Experience: Experience an asset
- Certificates:
- Electrician Trade Certification
- Working at Heights Training
- WHMIS Certificate
- Construction Electrician Red Seal Certificate
Job Responsibilities:
- Install, replace, and repair electrical controls and panel boxes
- Install underground, surface mount, and overhead wiring and cables
- Splice, join, and connect wires
- Test and measure voltage, loads, and circuit integrity
- Troubleshoot and isolate faults
- Install power generation and conditioning systems
- Ground and bond electrical systems including pools and hot tubs
- Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
- Maintain documentation and reports
- Estimate costs and materials
- Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers
- Provide professional customer service
