Salary: $23.00 – $25.00/hour (Negotiable), 35-40 hours/week
Blue Bell Academy is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Early Childhood Educators to join our team. As an ECE, you will play a vital role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. You will plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of children in our care. This is an on-site position in Toronto.
Responsibilities:
- Assess children’s developmental needs and create individualized learning plans.
- Collaborate with colleagues on housekeeping and meal preparation duties.
- Develop and implement engaging childcare programs that support children’s holistic growth.
- Lead interactive activities, including storytelling, singing, and outings.
- Encourage children’s creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
- Guide children in developing essential self-help skills (eating, dressing, toileting).
- Monitor children for potential learning or behavioral challenges and communicate observations to parents/guardians and supervisors.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues and community service providers.
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and stimulating learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Education and Teaching diploma from a recognized college or CEGEP (1-2 year program).
- Experience working with young children is an asset.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- First Aid and CPR certification [(Specify if required)]
