Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer and Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in diverse conditions, supervising workers, and expertly handling drywall installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise other workers effectively to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints on drywall installations.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets accurately.
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency for projects.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Smooth out excess compound, allowing coats to dry properly.
  • Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings as needed.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
  • Install both exterior and interior steel studs.
  • Estimate costs and materials required for projects.

Supervision:

  • Manage and coordinate a team of 1 to 2 people.

Transportation/Travel Information:

  • Must have own vehicle for transportation to various job sites.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

  • Requires bending, crouching, kneeling; strong hand-eye coordination.
  • Handling heavy loads; manual dexterity is essential.
  • Physically demanding with repetitive tasks and extended standing.
  • Must be capable of working under pressure.

Weight Handling:

  • Ability to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and up to 45 kg (100 lbs).

Required Tools/Equipment:

  • Safety glasses/goggles
  • Steel-toed safety boots
