Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer and Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in diverse conditions, supervising workers, and expertly handling drywall installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise other workers effectively to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints on drywall installations.
- Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
- Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
- Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife.
- Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets accurately.
- Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency for projects.
- Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
- Smooth out excess compound, allowing coats to dry properly.
- Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings as needed.
- Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
- Install both exterior and interior steel studs.
- Estimate costs and materials required for projects.
Supervision:
- Manage and coordinate a team of 1 to 2 people.
Transportation/Travel Information:
- Must have own vehicle for transportation to various job sites.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
- Requires bending, crouching, kneeling; strong hand-eye coordination.
- Handling heavy loads; manual dexterity is essential.
- Physically demanding with repetitive tasks and extended standing.
- Must be capable of working under pressure.
Weight Handling:
- Ability to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
