Responsibilities:
- Provide professionalism in customer service throughout deliveries.
- Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Oversee the condition of the vehicle, conducting inspections of tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring all aspects of the vehicle are in proper working order.
Work Environment:
- This position requires on-site work; remote work is not an option.
- Work in a physically demanding environment that may require handling weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Qualifications:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant driving experience is preferred.
- Valid AZ or DZ class driver’s license is mandatory.
Experience and Specialization:
- Knowledge of documentation such as bill of lading, driver logbook, and inspection reports.
- Experience operating straight trucks (4,600 kg+ or 10,000 lbs+ with 3+ axles) and tractor-trailers.
Personal Suitability:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable and flexible with a strong work ethic.
Additional Information:
- Must pass a driving record check (abstract).
- Own transportation is required, along with a valid driver’s license and steel-toed safety boots.
