Job Overview:
We are seeking two dedicated Drivers to join our team. Reporting to the Client Services Manager, you will play a crucial role in transporting clients to and from appointments and Adult Day Programs using our fleet of vehicles. This position requires reliability, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing compassionate care to our diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transportation Duties:
- Drive clients to and from appointments and Adult Day Programs using the organization’s vehicles.
- Assist clients in embarking and disembarking from vehicles, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Vehicle Maintenance:
- Participate in the daily upkeep of vehicles, including start-up checks, refueling, and oil changes.
- Report any vehicle issues or maintenance needs promptly to the appropriate personnel.
- Client Care:
- Monitor and report any behavioral changes or concerns related to clients.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High School Diploma or educational equivalent (required).
- Licensing and Certification:
- Valid Ontario License – Level G (required).
- Clean Drivers Abstract (required).
- Valid Ontario Vehicle Insurance (required).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years driving a bus or similar vehicle (preferred).
- At least 1 year of experience working with seniors (preferred).
- Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while being an effective team member.
- Experience working with diverse ethnic groups and seniors.
- Fluency in a second language is a strong asset.
Special Requirements:
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Ability to work scheduled shifts from Monday to Saturday, including evenings up to 9:00 PM.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination requirements as per Health Canada guidelines, with accommodations considered on a case-by-case basis.

- Comfortable standing for extended periods and working under pressure.
