Join the dynamic team at Holiday Inn by the Falls as a Dining Room Supervisor. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and coordinate the dining experience for guests in a fast-paced restaurant and hotel setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a strong background in food service, and the ability to manage staff effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure smooth operations.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of staff involved in food preparation and portioning.
- Train staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Address customer complaints and concerns with professionalism.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Possess knowledge of the restaurant’s culinary genres to provide guidance and support.
Work Environment:
- Work will be conducted on-site; remote work is not an option.
- Engage with a team of 11-15 staff members in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Must be able to work under pressure and stand for extended periods.
Qualifications:
- Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Smart Serve certification is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent oral communication abilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Attention to detail and a strong client focus are essential.
