Responsibilities:
- Uphold and embody Fort Garry Industries’ Customer Service Standards and Core Values with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Champion the company’s safety culture by performing all duties within established procedures and practices.
- Load materials into the vehicle and secure loads using straps, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
- Follow company delivery routes to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices.
- Check all load-related documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while promoting good working relationships with all customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 5/G driver’s license with 5 years of Canadian driving experience and no major infractions in the last 5 years.
- Demonstrated direct customer service experience in a similar role.
- Ability to lift up to 75–100 lbs occasionally and sit for long periods while driving up to 160 km and returning.
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills, dedicated to exceeding expectations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic to proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (email, Word, Excel) and ability to learn in-house systems.
- Heavy-duty parts supply background or knowledge is an asset.
