Job Details:

  • Location: Toronto, ON
  • Salary: $43.96 hourly / 40 hours per week
  • Type of Employment: Permanent, Full-time

Qualifications Needed:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Software Engineering, or Business Administration and Management.
  • Experience: 5 years or more in a relevant field.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze data to identify areas for improvement within the organization’s IT infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain computer databases and document customer requirements for projects.
  • Document reporting needs, queries, logic, results, and recommendations for other information systems professionals.
  • Implement measures to ensure unauthorized users cannot access data.
  • Liaise with staff regarding data requirements, collection, and availability.
  • Provide advice on database management tools and setup IT infrastructure for application access.
  • Test data models and database management systems, and design and develop databases.
  • Operate database management systems to analyze data and develop data administration policies, standards, and models.
  • Research and document data requirements and access rules, and develop policies for network access and data backup/recovery.
  • Write scripts related to stored procedures and triggers, and design information systems business solutions.

Experience and Specialization:

  • Proficiency in computer and technology tools, including:
    • PowerBuilder
    • Data Warehouse
    • Linux
    • MySQL
    • JavaScript, PHP, Python, SQL
    • Data analysis software
    • MS Office and other database software

Working Conditions:

  • On-site work; there is no option to work remotely.
