Job Overview:

Toronto Community Housing is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join as a Data Entry Clerk within the Accounts Payable department. This role involves utilizing high attention to detail to support the ongoing efforts of the organization to improve neighborhoods and the lives of residents in Toronto.


Responsibilities:

  • Sort and distribute incoming invoices.
  • Enter invoices into TCH’s Financial System (HoMES / Yardi).
  • Review source documents to determine input requirements.
  • Identify errors or omissions in information and report them to the Supervisor.
  • Compare report totals to control tape totals to ensure accurate processing.
  • Run related financial reports from HoMES (Yardi).
  • Meet work deadlines established by the Supervisor.
  • File related documents and assist in the retrieval of information from systems.
  • Data entry of miscellaneous documents and manage invoicing tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months (experience is an asset)
  • Knowledge of best practices in processing financial data.
  • Proficient in data entry skills; knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload under tight deadlines.
