We are looking to hire local and foreign workers for the Pavement Line Painter position (LMIA AVAILABLE for a skilled applicant from overseas or within Canada)
Responsabilities:
Operate walk-behind and self-propelled paint machines, like GRACO Line Lazer
Operate thermoplastic, cold plastic, and other specialized movement marking equipment - Make the Lay-out and remarking roadways and parking lots
Help clean and prepare work sites
Load and unload materials or equipment into work vehicles
Assist in the setup and take down of traffic control as per Ontario Book 7, including the assistance with the placement, move, and dismantling of road signs, traffic barrels or cones, and flagging operations
Maintain and clean equipment, conducting routine maintenance or minor repairs as required
Work safely and conform with all health and safety policies. Perform other duties as required and as assigned
Requirements:
Mechanical inclination to understand, maintain and perform minor repairs on equipment - Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
Willingness to work in all types of weather and temperatures
Willingness to work assigned night or day shifts, with the flexibility to work long shifts. Be physically fit and able to lift up to 30 kg
Ability to communicate courteously and professionally with supervisors, co-workers, contractors, and the general public.
Must be able to work well in a team environment, have a strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude
As we work both nights and days with no set timetable, due to the constraints of the different locations, weather and workload, we need employees who are comfortable with changing plans and schedules and can work at short notice on occasion.
