About Fork & Knife Inc.
Fork & Knife Inc. is a vibrant restaurant dedicated to serving delicious meals and providing an exceptional dining experience. We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Cook to join our kitchen team and help create memorable dishes for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
As a Cook, your primary duties will include:
- Determining food portion sizes and estimating costs.
- Planning menus and estimating food requirements for meal preparation.
- Preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes.
- Inspecting kitchen and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Training staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques.
- Ordering supplies and kitchen equipment.
- Supervising kitchen staff and helpers.
- Maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Cleaning the kitchen and work areas.
- Recruiting and hiring kitchen staff.
- Managing kitchen operations to ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience in a kitchen setting.
Skills Required
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility and initiative in managing kitchen operations.
- Excellent client focus and teamwork skills.
