Job Details:

  • Location: Concord, ON
  • Salary: $34.00 to $35.00 hourly (to be negotiated) / 32.5 hours per week

Qualifications:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate special events and determine the size of food portions and costs.
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Order supplies and equipment and supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas and organize buffets and banquets.
  • Manage kitchen operations efficiently.

  • Work Conditions: Attention to detail is essential, and the role requires working in a fast-paced environment. Overtime may be required, and the position is physically demanding with repetitive tasks, including standing for extended periods and working under pressure.
