Job Details:

Qualifications Needed:

  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience: Will train; no prior experience necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
  • Assist medical examiners in charge and help align pipes during pipeline construction.
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
  • Help frame houses, erect walls, and build roofs.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications, pave and rake asphalt.
  • Assist in demolishing buildings and clean and pile salvaged materials.
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants; remove rubble and debris at construction sites.
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction and direct traffic at or near construction sites.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs and clean and maintain sidewalks, streets, roads, and public grounds.
  • Assist skilled tradespersons as needed.
