Job Details:

  • Location: Thornhill, ON, L3T 7V8
  • Workplace: On site
  • Salary: $36.00–$38.00 hourly (to be negotiated) / 40 hours per week
  • Hours: 07:00–16:00, overtime available

Qualifications Required:

  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university diploma (1–2 years)
  • Experience: 5 years or more
  • Security: Basic security clearance, criminal record check
  • Transportation: Valid driver’s licence, own vehicle (public transportation not available)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Read blueprints to determine dimensions and material requirements
  • Assist in developing engineering specifications and drawings
  • Participate in field surveys, inspections, and technical investigations
  • Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates
  • Draft engineering designs and drawings
  • Prepare project schedules
  • Supervise or conduct field surveys, inspections, and testing of construction materials

Experience and Specialization:

  • Tools & Software: GPS navigation equipment, AutoCAD, MS Excel, Outlook, Project, Word, Primavera
  • Areas of Work: Project coordination, civil engineering for buildings, power plants, drainage/irrigation systems, pipelines, sewers, water control systems, bridges, and overpasses
  • Specialization: Structural engineering, construction design and supervision, water resources, environmental protection
