We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Helper to join our team in Etobicoke. Key Responsibilities
As a Construction Helper, your primary duties will include:
- Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials.
- Erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, and barricades.
- Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt.
- Leveling earth to fine grade specifications and paving/raking asphalt.
- Cleaning and piling salvaged materials and performing routine maintenance work.
- Cleaning up chemical spills and other contaminants.
- Removing rubble and debris at construction sites.
- Tending or feeding machines or equipment used in construction.
- Directing traffic at or near construction sites as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction is an asset but not required.
Skills Required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Physically demanding work requiring attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and ability to handle heavy loads (up to 13.5 kg or 30 lbs).
Additional Information
- Must have own transportation and be able to work at various locations.
- Steel-toed safety boots are required for this position.
