Qualifications Required:
- Education: College, CEGEP, or non-university diploma (1–2 years)
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare labour and material cost estimates
- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Operate CADD and estimating software
- Prepare pre-qualification submissions and feasibility studies
- Generate estimate reports, bids, and quote sheets
- Set up cost monitoring systems and track expenditures
- Communicate with engineers, architects, and contractors regarding project adjustments
- Maintain directories of suppliers and subcontractors
- Advise on tendering procedures and utilize quantity take-off methods
