Job Summary

As a CNC Programmer/Operator, you will be responsible for programming CNC machines to produce precision components while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, CAD software, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machining operations using Fanuc controls.
  • Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring precision and accuracy in production.
  • Conduct regular maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing processes using lean manufacturing principles.
  • Utilize hand tools and measuring instruments, such as calipers, to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to create effective machining strategies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency in CNC programming, with experience in Fanuc systems preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex machinery and tooling.
  • Familiarity with CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, for designing and modifying parts.
  • Basic math skills for calculations related to machining processes.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing techniques to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Competence in using hand tools and measuring equipment for quality assurance in production.
  • Must have experience in woodworking and operating Thermwood CNC machines.
