Key Responsibilities
As a CNC Machinist, your primary duties will include:
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables.
- Setting up and adjusting production machinery and tools.
- Repairing machine tools and parts as needed.
- Fitting and assembling components and machine parts to close tolerances.
- Maintaining, repairing, and calibrating precision measuring instruments.
- Documenting and reporting deviations from specifications and tolerances.
- Operating conventional and computer-controlled machine tools.
- Verifying dimensions of machined parts using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
Qualifications
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in CNC machining.
Skills Required
- Proficiency in using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Experience with automatic lathes, engine lathes, milling machines, and CNC machines.
- Knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Information
- Must be able to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Steel-toed safety boots are required.
