Job Description:
- Location: Burlington, ON
- Salary: $29.50 hourly / 35 to 40 hours per week
- Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, full time, day, evening, weekend, overtime, on call, early morning, morning

Requirements:
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma
- Experience: 5 years or more
- Languages: English

Responsibilities:
- Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers, to cut, shape, and form parts and components
- Prepare specifications of custom-made cabinets that maximize storage
- Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files
- Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made
- Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units and reinforce joints
- Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics
- Apply varnish, veneer, stain, or polish to finished products
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Supervise other workers
- Estimate costs and materials
- Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products
Credentials:
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Experience and Specialization:
- Area of Specialization: Cabinets, built-in units, doors and door frames, millwork, furniture and cabinet remodeling, kitchen cabinets and vanities
Additional Information:
- Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, manual dexterity, attention to detail, standing for extended periods
- Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
