Responsibilities:
- Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
- Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
- Keep financial records and maintain various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
- Post journal entries and prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports
- Prepare tax returns and trial balance of books
- Reconcile accounts and manage accounts receivable
- Prepare budgets and payrolls
- Open and close books for auditors
- Inform employees about payroll matters and benefit plans
- Ensure accuracy of completed time sheets and payroll summaries
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance and detect fraud
- Oversee payroll administration and prepare bank reconciliations
- Prepare and balance period-end reports
Experience and Specialization:
- Proficient in MS Excel and QuickBooks
- Specialized environmental skills and knowledge preferred
Additional Information:
- Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation required
