  • Salary: $55,000 annually

Qualifications Necessary

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (General) or Accounting
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years in bookkeeping or accounting
  • Languages: English

Responsibilities of the Job

  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries and prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports
  • Prepare tax returns and trial balance of books
  • Reconcile accounts

Experience and Specialization

  • Proficient in accounting software, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, QuickBooks, TaxPrep, and MS Office
  • Experience with scanners and other office equipment

Additional Information

  • Security and Safety: Basic security clearance required; must be bondable
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available; willing to travel as required
  • Work Conditions: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment; attention to detail is crucial; overtime may be required
