Qualifications Necessary
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (General) or Accounting
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years in bookkeeping or accounting
- Languages: English
Responsibilities of the Job
- Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
- Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
- Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
- Post journal entries and prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports
- Prepare tax returns and trial balance of books
- Reconcile accounts
Experience and Specialization
- Proficient in accounting software, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, QuickBooks, TaxPrep, and MS Office
- Experience with scanners and other office equipment
Additional Information
- Security and Safety: Basic security clearance required; must be bondable
- Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available; willing to travel as required
- Work Conditions: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment; attention to detail is crucial; overtime may be required
