Job Details:

  • Location: 141E Pembroke, ON, K8A 5L8
  • Salary: $25.00 to $28.00 hourly (To be negotiated) / 35 hours per week
  • Type of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
  • Hours of Work: 09:00 to 19:00

Qualifications Needed:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years.

Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll.
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation.
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Post journal entries and prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
  • Prepare tax returns and trial balance of books.
  • Reconcile accounts.

Experience and Specialization:

  • Knowledge of accounting software, including:
    • Caseware/Caseview
    • QuickBooks
    • Simply Accounting
    • TaxPrep
    • Sage Accounting Software
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and spreadsheet applications.

Working Conditions:

  • On-site work; there is no option to work remotely.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Overtime may be required, and tasks could be repetitive with tight deadlines.
