Twiggs Coffee Company Inc. is a vibrant coffee shop dedicated to providing high-quality beverages and exceptional customer service. We are currently seeking enthusiastic Baristas to join our team in North Bay and contribute to our welcoming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
As a Barista, your primary duties will include:
- Greeting patrons, presenting menus, and making recommendations regarding food and beverages.
- Describing menu items, including daily specials, and advising customers on menu selections.
- Taking orders and relaying them to kitchen and bar staff.
- Serving food and beverages and addressing customers’ complaints or concerns.
- Presenting bills to customers and accepting payment in cash, credit/debit cards, or other forms of payment.
- Balancing cash and recording sales accurately.
- Clearing and cleaning tables, trays, and chairs.
- Training staff and assisting clients/guests with special needs.
- Enforcing provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: Will train; no prior experience necessary.
Skills Required
- Strong client focus and excellent oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks.
- Efficient interpersonal skills and flexibility to adapt to changing situations.
- Organized and reliable team player.
Credentials:
- Smart Serve certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Safe Food Handling certificate (or willingness to obtain).
