Job Details:

  • Location: 191 Mactaggart Dr., Nobleton, ON L0G 1N0
  • Salary: $21.00 hourly / 35 hours per week
  • Type of Employment: Permanent, Full-time (Day, Evening, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, Morning)

Qualifications Necessary:

  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a baking role

Responsibilities of the Job:

  • Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, including icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for baking operations.
  • Bake mixed dough and batters, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods to meet presentation standards.
  • Draw up production schedules to manage workflow effectively.
  • Train staff in baking techniques and safety procedures.
  • Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
  • Hire and dismiss staff as necessary.
  • Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods.

Experience and Specialization:
Candidates should have experience in baking, particularly in:

  • Breads and rolls
  • Donuts and muffins
  • Cake decorating

Work Conditions:
Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. The environment can be fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
