Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods according to recipes.
- Prepare batters for muffins, cookies, cakes, and create icings and frostings.
- Prepare pastry and special orders for occasions such as weddings and birthdays.
- Bake mixed dough and batters and operate specialized machinery.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure standards are met.
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced environment under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Physically demanding: Standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and repetitive tasks.
- Requires manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to distinguish between colours.
- Must have own transportation and a valid driver’s licence.
- Security and safety: Criminal record check and references required.
