Qualifications Required:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Job Responsibilities:
- Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace units.
- Inspect and test mechanical units, motors, and automotive systems to locate faults and malfunctions.
- Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications.
- Perform scheduled maintenance services and road test vehicles.
- Estimate parts and labour costs for maintenance and repairs.
- Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
- Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced environment requiring manual dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination.
- Attention to detail and ability to stand for extended periods.
- Must possess own tools and own transportation (valid driver’s licence).
