Qualifications Required:
- Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
- Licences: Valid driver’s licence
Job Responsibilities:
- Estimate repair costs based on damage reports
- Test drive vehicles for handling
- Replace and repair body components, doors, frames, and underbody parts
- File, grind, sand, mask, and tape surfaces for painting
- Hammer out dents and weld or bolt replacement parts
- Repair or replace interior components and glass
- Mix and match paint colors
- Use soldering equipment and plastic fillers
- Straighten frames using specialized equipment
