We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team in Thornhill. Location: 115 Times Ave, Thornhill, ON L3T 0A2
Salary: $19.23 to $21.00 hourly (to be negotiated)
Hours: 30 to 44 hours per week
Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full-time
Start Date: As soon as possible

Key Responsibilities

As an Assistant Manager, your primary duties will include:

  • Determining the types of services to be offered and implementing operational procedures.
  • Balancing cash and completing balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms.
  • Enforcing provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations.
  • Organizing and maintaining inventory to ensure adequate supply levels.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Participating in marketing plans and their implementation.
  • Leading and instructing team members and addressing customer complaints or concerns.
  • Providing excellent customer service and planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating daily operations.

Qualifications

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required.
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years in a supervisory role within the food service industry.

Skills Required

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail and a client-focused approach.

Additional Information

  • This position may involve standing for extended periods and working under tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
