Qualifications Required:
- Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Job Responsibilities:
- Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts, hot asphalt, and gravel.
- Repair various roofing systems and apply waterproof coatings to concrete or masonry surfaces.
- Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other necessary working platforms.
- Mix, pour, and spread materials including concrete and asphalt.
- Work with specialized systems such as modified, rigid pre-formed, and single-ply sheet membrane roofing.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Working Conditions:
- Physically demanding work involving handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Fast-paced environment with a large workload, requiring work under pressure and repetitive tasks.
- Frequent or constant travel to varying work locations is required.
