Position Description:
Title: Accounting Analyst
Reports To: Controller
Department: Finance
Status: Full-time, Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of all customer invoices for various business segments.
- Process Independent Contractor payments within established service level agreements (SLAs).
- Collect and verify timekeeping information for Delivery Associates and Independent Contractors.
- Reconcile cost account differences between billing sub-ledger and general ledger.
- Process payroll and manage employee payroll data entry in ADP for hourly Delivery Associates on a weekly basis.
- Ensure compliance with federal and provincial payroll remittances and reporting.
- Perform analytical functions, including the review and management of large data sets to ensure customer billing accuracy.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure billing accuracy.
- Prepare 13-week cash flow forecasts weekly.
- Record daily accounts receivable payments to ERP and manage collections and balances.
- Prepare monthly commission calculations and statements.
- Perform analysis and reconciliation of fixed asset general ledger accounts.
- Support Accounts Payable as needed and perform other finance-related duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: CPA designation or enrolled preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of related experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large data sets.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (conditional statements, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
- Solid understanding of cost concepts and behaviors.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven problem solver with a customer-focused approach.
