  • Salary: $57,500 annually

Qualifications Necessary

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience: 5 years or more in accounting
  • Credentials: Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)

Responsibilities of the Job

  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, procedures, and internal control
  • Prepare financial information for individuals, departments, or companies
  • Prepare reports and audit findings
  • Make recommendations concerning cash management, insurance coverage, investment planning, retirement, and estate planning
  • Prepare financial statements and reports
  • Conduct field audits of businesses for compliance with the Income Tax Act and other statutory requirements
  • Develop and maintain cost findings, reporting, and internal control procedures
  • Prepare income tax returns from accounting records
  • Review financial services and institutions for compliance with governing legislation
  • Analyze financial documents and reports
  • Assist in the planning and execution of financial statement audits
  • Keep financial records and maintain various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Oversee payroll administration
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
