As a glass installer, your duties consist of cutting windows to fit frames, replacing broken windows and installing new windows for renovations or construction projects.
Ensuring that the product fits properly and works efficiently for each project.
May work with a variety of products that need windows, including homes, apartments, businesses, and sheds among others.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
✓ Analyzing plans to identify the shape, dimension, color and density of glass for installation procedures.
✓ Measure and mark lines on the glass before making cuts and modifications.
✓ Cutting glass to dimension and requirements in the workshop and at work site.
✓ Installing glass racks, cabinets, closets, mirrors, and other furniture products that need drilling holes in wall surfaces or floors.
✓ Measuring, cutting and fitting anti-glare film to glass if needed
✓ Packing and Loading glass or mirror fittings onto delivery trucks for transportation to job site.
✓ Making and installing moldings for glass installation.
✓ Cutting and eliminating damaged glass prior to new installation.
✓ Cleaning the work area as soon as glass has been installed, and the client is completely satisfied.

EDUCATION, LEARNING AND EXPERIENCE
✓ Training on-the-job or through an apprenticeship.
✓ Preferred 2 years experience as a glazier.
✓ Experience and efficiency with specialized tools and| as equipment.
