Qualifications Required:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- Experience: Experience an asset
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate woodworking machines (power saws, jointers, mortisers, shapers) to cut, shape, and form parts and components
- Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made
- Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units and reinforce joints
- Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products
- Prepare and apply laminated plastics
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Working Conditions:
- Work setting: Custom cabinet shop, millwork shop
- Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity, attention to detail, standing for extended periods
- Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots required
