Qualifications Required:
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Job Responsibilities:
- Estimate repair costs based on damage examination reports
- Inspect repaired vehicles
- Plan repair work
- Test drive vehicles for proper handling
- Clean and maintain workspace
- Instruct apprentices
- Replace front‑end, body, door, frame, and underbody components
- File, grind, and sand body surfaces
- Mask and tape surfaces for painting
- Hammer out dents, buckles, and defects
- Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills; bolt or weld replacement parts
- Apply primers and repaint surfaces
- Repair or replace interior components
- Repair or replace windows, windshields, and sunroofs
- Mix paint, blend, and match colors
- Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler
- Straighten bent frames using pulling and anchoring equipment
Working Conditions:
