Qualifications Required:
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Job Responsibilities:
- Greenhouse cleaning
- Seed cutting
- Tie and secure plants
- Weeding
- Spray or dust plants with insecticides and fungicides
- Assist in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants
- Mix and prepare soils
- Plant bulbs and seeds
- Pot and re-pot plants
- Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings
- Apply fertilizers
- Report signs of insect or disease damage
- Assist in grafting activities
- Dig up and wrap rootballs of trees and shrubs
- Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens
- Clean work area
Working Conditions:
- Outdoors, wet/damp, hot environments
- Rural area
- Repetitive tasks
- Handling heavy loads (up to 45 kg / 100 lbs)
- Physically demanding; standing, bending, crouching, kneeling
- Non-smoking environment
- Use of mechanical cultivator, seeder, sprayer, and light trucks
- Steel‑toed safety boots required
