Qualifications Required
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
- Credentials: WHMIS Certificate
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles, and other masonry units
- Lay bricks, stone, or similar materials for veneer facing
- Construct and install prefabricated masonry units
- Read sketches and blueprints to calculate required materials
- Work at heights on scaffolding or swing stages
- Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks using hand and power tools
- Build residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces
- Restore, clean, or paint existing masonry structures
