Qualifications Required:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years; AZ class license and Air Brakes Endorsement required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials over long distances.
- Plan or adjust routes using GPS and computer equipment to optimize fuel efficiency and minimize emissions.
- Perform mandatory pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
- Load and unload goods, including tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.
- Transport and handle dangerous goods and manage cross-border documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of cargo, hours of service (logbooks), distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
- Communicate effectively with central dispatch to relay information.
Working Conditions:
- Physically demanding role involving sitting for long periods, repetitive tasks, and handling loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Willingness to travel cross-border (requires a valid passport).
- Must provide own steel-toed safety boots and a cellular phone.
