Qualifications Required:
- Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience; Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review work orders and road test motor vehicles.
- Test automotive systems and components, including electrical, electronic, and fuel/emission systems.
- Adjust, repair, or replace parts, components, and mechanical units.
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications.
- Perform scheduled maintenance services.
- Estimate parts and labour costs for maintenance and repairs.
- Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
- Specialized work in areas such as engine repair, HVAC, transmissions, and drive train components.
Working Conditions:
- On-site work in a service garage environment.
- Must have a valid driver’s licence and the ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
