Qualifications Required:
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma (1–2 years program)
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
- Computer Knowledge: Electronic cash register, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Windows, MS Word
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze budget to boost and maintain restaurant profits
- Develop budgets for food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen, and cleaning supplies
- Evaluate daily operations and monitor revenues to determine labour costs
- Monitor staff performance and plan daily operations
- Set staff work schedules, supervise, and train staff (5–10 people)
- Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms
- Cost products and services
- Organize and maintain inventory
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
- Negotiate with clients for catering or facility use
- Participate in marketing plans and implementation
- Address customer complaints or concerns
- Provide customer service and manage events
