Qualifications Required:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 to less than 2 years
- Credentials: AZ Class License, Air Brakes Endorsement
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan or adjust routes using GPS and navigation devices to optimize fuel consumption
- Provide professional customer service
- Arrange travel itineraries and reservations
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
- Load and unload goods
- Inspect vehicle condition (tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, equipment)
- Perform emergency roadside repairs and preventive maintenance
- Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
- Relay information to central dispatch
- Record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
- Secure cargo with tarping and ensure safety
