Qualifications Required:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- Experience: 1 to less than 2 years
Job Responsibilities:
- Verify dimensions of machined parts using measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers)
- Read and interpret specifications, blueprints, and drawings
- Place metal pieces in furnace
- Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment
- Check products for correct shapes, dimensions, and specifications
- Lay out, set up, and operate light or heavy metalworking machines
- Document completed work
- Set up, maintain, and perform minor repairs on machinery
Working Conditions:
- Noisy, dusty, and hot environment
- Fast-paced and physically demanding work
- Standing for extended periods, repetitive tasks, weight handling up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required
