Qualifications Required:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
- Transportation: Valid driver’s licence
Job Responsibilities:
- Adjust, repair, or replace electrical and mechanical system parts
- Diagnose and isolate faults on engines
- Discuss work with supervisor and document inspections/tests
- Estimate repair costs and review work orders
- Read blueprints to determine work requirements
- Perform scheduled maintenance and service
- Advise customers on work performed and equipment condition
- Repair and rebuild hoisting mechanisms and other mechanical systems on forklifts
- Test and adjust repaired equipment for proper performance
