Qualifications Required:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate woodworking machines to cut, shape, and form components
- Prepare cabinet specifications
- Shape wood surfaces using hand tools
- Instruct apprentices and supervise workers
- Study plans and drawings
- Trim and fit parts to form complete units
- Sand, stain, polish, and apply veneers or laminated plastics
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Estimate costs and materials
- Repair or restyle wooden furniture and fixtures
