Qualifications Required:
- Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience
- Experience: Experience an asset
- Certifications: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare reports and case histories
- Conduct social research and follow-up assessments
- Appraise client needs and eligibility
- Implement life skills workshops and treatment programs
- Provide crisis intervention and supportive counselling
- Conduct individual and group counselling sessions
- Assist offenders in pre-release planning
- Liaise with social service and healthcare providers
- Develop service models and outcome measures
- Maintain program statistics and evaluate treatment effectiveness
- Screen, recruit, train, and supervise volunteers and staff
- Manage events and coordinate workshops
- Accompany clients to appointments and outings
- Provide food preparation and housekeeping support
- Establish registry of special needs support workers
