Job Details:
- Location: Various locations – 345 Finchdene Square, Scarborough, ON M1X 1B9 and Oshawa, ON L1J 6Z7

- Salary: $36.15 hourly / 40 hours per week

Qualifications Required:
- Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Job Responsibilities:
- Interpret welding process specifications
- Operate manual, semi-automatic, and fully automated welding equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals
- Examine welds for standards compliance
- Operate flame-cutting and CAD equipment
- Shape, straighten, and bend metal using various machines
- Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal
- Use oxygen arc cutting equipment
- Determine weldability of materials
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
- Fabricate or repair metal parts using welding and brazing machines
- Maintain and repair welding equipment
- Adjust or replace truck-trailer system components
Working Conditions:
- Commercial, industrial, and manufacturing settings
- Fast-paced and physically demanding
- Repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads (up to 23 kg)
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required
- Standing for extended periods
- Work at heights, in dusty and hot environments
- Own transportation and valid driver’s licence required
- Own tools/equipment: steel-toed boots, safety glasses, mask, face shield, welding helmet
